Matthew Bray

Matt Bray is an immigration attorney based in New York. He consults with immigrants and defense attorneys on the immigration consequences of criminal justice system contact, and represents clients in family-based and humanitarian visa petitions, waivers of inadmissibility, asylum applications, and in deportation proceedings in immigration court.  

Matt is also of counsel to Daryanani Law Group, which represents corporate and individual clients in various fields, including entertainment, architecture, and fashion. He volunteers regularly at legal clinics sponsored by local immigrant rights groups.

Matt is admitted to practice law in New York, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Matt is a member of American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the National Lawyers Guild National Immigration Project. 

Matt enjoys travel and helping people overcome immigration obstacles. He speaks Spanish, French and Irish.

Nathan Yaffe

Nathan Yaffe is an immigration attorney and organizer based in New York. He first began working in earnest against the violence of the deportation system in law school, as a volunteer for the New Sanctuary Coalition pro se legal clinic. After graduating, he took a position as a “full-time volunteer” at NSC before departing to join a firm specializing in international law. The following year, he worked “inside” the system, clerking at the Second Circuit. Upon fleeing chambers, he re-committed himself to working on the right side (i.e., outside/against the system) and became the second member of the Law Office of Matthew Bray.

Nathan is admitted to practice law in New York and the Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He represents people in family-based and humanitarian visa petitions, asylum applications, and in removal proceedings in immigration court, and in related federal litigation. He has working proficiency in French.
