Mission

The Law Office of Matthew Bray is engaged in work towards the end of all forms of immigration-related policing, incarceration, surveillance and separation. We want an open, inclusive and welcoming society. Pending abolition, we practice immigration law.

Our practice includes complex benefits applications, removal defense and naturalization. We work with public defenders, private attorneys, activists and organizations to support members of our community targeted and criminalized by the prison-industrial complex. We also work with individuals and families on immigrant and nonimmigrant visa petitions and waivers, and with businesses and corporate clients on employment-related immigration matters.

Our work is guided by the principle that you should feel as empowered as possible to navigate the immigration system—notwithstanding its racism, classism, sexism, and ableism—which means that it’s part of our job to make sure you have a complete understanding of every step of the process and every strategic decision. In addition to our zealous advocacy and meticulous preparation to secure the best possible outcome for you, we pride ourselves on working with you throughout the process as close collaborators.
